Dr. Amber Raines
Dr. Amber Raines is the great-granddaughter of an early 20th century midwife who delivered hundreds of babies in the rural south. Much like her late great-grandmother, she believes her purpose is to help others produce or bring forth something in their lives; in her case, that is through personal and professional development.
After graduating from Taylor County High School, Dr. Raines attended Mercer University, where she majored in Psychology. After graduating, she decided to return to Taylor County to build opportunities for advancement in a community dear to her heart. While there, she completed her master’s degree. After marrying and relocating in 2015, Dr. Raines continued her educational studies and commitment to community development by completing her PhD and graduating in 2018.
An advocate of supporting rural Georgians, Dr. Raines has always possessed an interest in leadership. Those interests led her to incorporate advocacy into her business which she launched the same week as she defended her PhD!
Dr. Raines considers Career Cloud as an opportunity to demonstrate to others all the world has to offer. She knows that lack of exposure coupled with doubt, lessens the outlook of achieving dreams; therefore, she hopes Career Cloud is a conduit for helping students and young adults realize their purpose and live out their potential.
Dr. Raines is also the Co-Founder/CEO of Give Specific.
